Got a letter from Katch?
Equian is now Katch, the same legitimate company under a new name. Katch coordinates benefits and recovers costs for health plans (subrogation and coordination of benefits). If you got a letter, your plan hired them to reach out.
Equian is now part of Katch. A letter under either name is the same legitimate payment-recovery vendor; the response portal is selfservice.katchiq.com. To be sure your specific letter is really from them, call the member number on your insurance card, not a number printed in the letter.
Health plans commonly hold or deny payment for the related visits until a questionnaire like this is answered. That is a standard plan mechanic, not a decision about you. We can’t predict what your plan will do in your specific case. This is how these letters generally work.
Have the letter in hand?
Upload it and we’ll read your exact letter: what it is, the deadline, and what each question is really asking. If you hold your policies with us, we’ll read it against your real coverage too.
