What this is

UnderstandMyPolicy is an educational document-reading tool. It explains what your own uploaded insurance policy says, in plain English, with every answer cited to the page and clause of your document.

What this is not

It is not legal, financial, or claims advice, and not a substitute for a licensed agent, public adjuster, or attorney. It does not evaluate settlements or tell you what to do. It reads your document and shows you where it says what it says. Decisions are yours.

Accuracy

We work hard to read policies faithfully and to cite every answer to your document. Even so, documents vary and errors are possible. Always confirm anything important against the policy itself and with a licensed professional.

Your account and payments

You are responsible for keeping your account secure. Prices are shown before you pay. Where a launch price is marked against a higher regular price, the higher price is one we genuinely charge once the launch window ends.
